Hackney Council offers an apprenticeship within the Building Maintenance Service, giving hands‑on experience alongside qualified operatives while attending college one day per week or on block release. The Carpentry Apprentice will acquire the skills required to become a qualified Carpenter. During the apprenticeship you will learn how to install, repair and maintain doors, windows, locks and other associated works in Hackney’s residential and void properties and public buildings.
