An opportunity has arisen within our practice for a 4 session Locum GP to join our supportive, friendly, ambitious practice with a strong patient centered ethos. We have a low staff turnover, low locum requirements and are proud of our good local reputation. One of our Salaried GPs is currently off on maternity leave, so we are keen to engage a 4-session locum GP (preferred days Tuesday and Wednesday) for 2 months to provide cover.

We currently phone 10 patients per session and see those needing face-to-face appointments but we have a flexible template. The afternoon duty doctor is usually allocated to do house visits with a shorter morning surgery to accommodate this. The role will involve normal clinical duties (on call sessions, approx. 4 per month and home visits, acute and repeat prescribing and the possibility of Registrar tutorials).
