**Overview**

**Job Title: Furnace Operator**

**Job Location: Williamsport, PA**

Under general supervision, performs varied tasks to assemble electro-mechanical components of products. Performs precise assembly tasks on components requiring a high degree of hand-to-eye coordination.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform brazing operations defined on furnace tickets
+ Document work into computer, on log sheets and on furnace tickets.
+ Load and unload furnaces. Some assemblies with fixturing can weigh in excess of 40 pounds.
+ Visually inspect furnaces including
+ heating elements
+ seals
+ loading equipment
+ Check for hydrogen leaks.
+ Perform safety inspections on hoists.
+ Periodically check furnace temperature with analytical devices (i.e. pyrometer).
+ Work with other departments to identify and implement corrective actions related to brazing operations.
+ Identify areas for improving own work.
