Summary This position is in the Office of Foreign Missions (OFM) which is responsible for implementing the requirements of the Foreign Missions Act of 1982. The incumbent serves as a Foreign Affairs Officer in the regional offices of Chicago, Houston, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. This officer are responsible for researching, advising, and implementing policies and procedures concerning Foreign Missions members who reside and work in the United States. Responsibilities Independently reviews and adjudicates requests received from foreign missions and their members associated with the programs and services implemented by OFM regional offices. Recommends changes in OFM policies, guidelines and operations where appropriate in response to changes in federal laws and regulations as well as applicable state and local government laws and regulations.
