Job Summary
The Firestop Technical Engineer is responsible for activities that take place on the worksite and ensures that firestop operations are
carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. The role is responsible for supervising the
contractors and staff while maintaining a safe work environment. This position recommends alternative methods
to ensure performance of the firestop system is not compromised and complies with the project requirements.
Job Responsibilities 1
Design firestop systems and assemblies based on building codes, standards, and project requirements to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through penetrations and joints in building structures.
Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards, such as NFPA, ASTM, and UL, in the design and installation of firestop systems.
