A world-class fuel refinery has a contract position available for a Financial Analyst at their premises in Milnerton. The purpose of the role is to provide cost reporting and financial analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly cost reporting & coordinate cost review meetings with cost centre owners.
- Perform monthly variance analysis of actual vs budget on operating expenses.
- Prepare and present divisional operating expenses financial reports and variance explanations as required by Refinery Leadership Team at monthly governance meeting.
- Provide financial guidance to refinery business unit through accounting policy & IFRS interpretation and application, tax implications of proposed actions, capex vs. operating expenses decisions etc.
