What are we looking for in a Family Partner?

As part of the WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) team, the Family Partner uses personal and professional life experiences to provide peer support to youth and families served by the WISe program. The Family Partner encourages clients to assert control over their lives and recovery process by promoting self-advocacy, positive socialization, community living skills, and reliance on natural supports. The Family Partner also serves as a bridge between the family and treatment team to ensure that each other’s information & perspectives are shared and understood. This role requires a willingness to use one’s own experiences to help others and Peer Counselor certification in Washington State.
