Duties and responsibilities:

Inherent Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or an Advanced Diploma/B.Tech degree on NQF Level 7 in Library and Information Science, Information Science, or Library Studies. 

• A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience in an Academic Library Environment.

• Current membership of the Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA)(attach a copy). 

​​​​​​​• Postgraduate qualification on NQF Level 8 or higher in the field of Library and Information Science, Information Science, or Library Studies.

• Experience within the higher education environment.

• Knowledge of university systems, policies, and procedures.
