JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Coach/Extra-Curricular Activity Sponsor PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide instruction and leadership in the extracurricular program that will enhance student success individually or as a team through competition. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Alleghany Highlands Public Schools employee (preferred).
• Physical strength, dexterity, ability, and desire to complete required duties.
• Knowledge of extracurricular activity (experience preferred).
• Any other requirements specified by Virginia High School League

REPORTS TO: Principal (or designee) and Activities Director PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Professional and Interpersonal Relations

Communicates with educational personnel, parents, students, and others.

• Cooperates with school administration
• Develops positive rapport with all coaching staff within the school system
