As a Day Shift Truck Driver at Steel Technologies, you’ll operate a heavy-capacity commercial truck to transport freight between Steel Technologies’ locations, from suppliers and to customers. Our customers depend on timely and quality deliveries and exceptional customer service.
How you’ll contribute to our company:
Operates a truck with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver steel productsPerforms required daily vehicle inspections and monthly checklist to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working orderReports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehiclesManeuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positionedSecures cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
