About the role 

The Events Lead position was created through Council's Long Term Plan and is a critical role to support Council's ambition to partner with industry and attract events to Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt. This is a fixed term opportunity (fixed term through until 30 June 2027) due to an internal secondment opportunity.

Through the creation of a dedicated Events function, Council has signed that it’s open for business! We want to work with promoters and event organisers to bring events to Lower Hutt and create memorable experiences for attendees and the city.
