Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex inquiries of environmental requirements and disposal processes. Ensures and documents the environmental compliance of DLA Disposition Services field activities by conducting thorough inspections and audits of hazardous waste disposal contractors, Treatment, (Continued) Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs), and hazardous property sales customers. Analyze findings, identify trends, and develop corrective action plans. Analyze and interpret current and proposed federal, state, and local environmental regulations (including RCRA, TSCA, and CERCLA) to determine their impact on agency operations. Represent the agency in meetings with military services and other federal agencies to exchange information, resolve complex issues, and advocate for agency programs.
