Engineering Technician Job Description Performs technical tasks to support field operations including but not limited to: equipment setup/maintenance and repair, strain gauge installation, construction of instrument cables, construction of data acquisition systems, and calibration of instruments. Maintains shop cleanliness and organization. Maintains field test equipment and supports efficient testing activities. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electronic equipment. Fabricates instrumentation and electronic accessories as specified by supervising engineer. Performs instrument calibrations including but not limited to transducers and data acquisition devices. Follows relevant procedures and standards as well as internal quality control practices in all lab and field activities.
