Drive the ambulance carefully and efficiently to transport patients, medical staff, or emergency responders .
Ensure the safety and comfort of the patient during transit.
Select the fastest and safest routes to medical facilities.
Help EMTs, nurses, or paramedics in handling patients.
Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) if trained and certified.
Assist in loading and unloading patients from stretchers.
Qualifications
At least a high school graduate (some employers may require college-level education, particularly in health-related courses).
A degree or training in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) , Basic Life Support (BLS) , or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification is an advantage.
