Responsibilities

• Perform clinical embryology and andrology services following appropriate competency assessment and in adherence to standard operating procedures
• Semen analysis and preparation for in vitro fertilisation (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and intrauterine insemination (IUI)
• Sperm cryopreservation and thawing
• Processing, cryopreservation and thawing of Epididymal sperm, testicular biopsies and Micro TESE
• Oocyte collection
• Assessment, insemination and injection of oocytes using IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
• Oocytes and embryo handling and manipulation for assessment of fertilisation, cleavage and blastocyst development
• Embryo selection and embryo transfer
• Embryo cryopreservation and thawing
• Embryo biopsy (blastomere and trophectoderm) and tubing of cells for chromosomal screening and genetic diagnosis
