Doctoral Researcher, Multimodal Cancer Imaging

University of Eastern Finland – A.I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences, Kuopio Campus.

Term: 3 years (fixed), starting 1 September 2026 (or as agreed). The position will first be held under the title “Project Researcher” and upgrade to “Doctoral Researcher” once the candidate is admitted to the Faculty’s Doctoral Programme.

Role and Salary

The project “Cancer immunotherapy utilizing multifunctional vector technology, PET imaging and metabolic MRI” is funded by the Research Council of Finland and focuses on developing novel preclinical cancer therapies and imaging modalities.

Salary: Basic monthly salary EUR 2,331.67, plus a personal salary component 6–50 % of the basic salary. The total salary will be approximately EUR 2,700–2,845 per month at the start of employment.
