Responsibilities

• Plans and develops high‑quality nursing and therapy services, and has overall supervision of nursing and restorative care activities.
• Develops and implements an effective internal budgeting, expenditure and inventory control system for the department.
• Ensures efficient and responsible use of resources.
• Ensures adequate staffing to meet the needs of the Nursing Department; hires appropriate staff to complement the team, and coaches, develops, monitors and evaluates staff to ensure an agile, effective, efficient and engaged team.
• Oversees orientation and in‑service training programs for professional and non‑professional nursing staff, and performs other staff development functions as required.
