Position Summary
Provides clinical-operational leadership of Nursing Services on the Avery Campus of UNC Appalachian. Ensures safe and effective patient care is delivered at all times and all locations. This position is instrumental to the timely and effective treatment provided to UNC Appalachian patients and the operation of 24/7 services. Responsible for the clinical and management of the team and adherence to all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, procedures and plans. Areas of responsibility include:
Appalachian Regional Behavioral Health Hospital (Inpatient and Walk-In) Surgical Services located at Cannon Memorial Hospital Critical Access Inpatient Unit at Cannon Memorial Hospital Emergency Services at Cannon Memorial HospitalThe Avery Campus Director of Nursing may be asked to assist with other projects and oversight at the Avery Campus based on need.
