POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Intake and Assessment oversees both the clinical and administrative tasks related to the Admissions Department. This position provides clinical direction in psychiatric and chemical dependency assessment services including evaluation, crisis intervention, and referrals. The director interfaces closely with administration, medical staff, and other hospital departments. The Director is accountable for managing the Assessment and Referral department and operations. Must possess a working knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, addiction and recovery, treatment planning, and experience in patient assessment and clinical interview.
