Purpose:

The Dimensional Inspector responsibilities consist of the Visual and Dimensional inspections of inner and outer mounting surfaces. The Dimensional Inspector will determine if mounting surface areas are within acceptable specification in accordance with shop travelers and engine manuals. Inspectors will use specialized tooling (dial indicators, mikrokators, calipers, gage blocks, sunnen gage, federal gage, hardness tester etc.) for measuring ID's and OD's.
