The Dietetic Technician is responsible for resident and participant nutrition care planning, implementation and evaluation under the supervision and guidance of the Registered Dietitian. The Dietetic Technician is a contributing member of the interdisciplinary team in establishing and implementing the interdisciplinary care plan.
Job duties specific to this position:
Meal planning and menu development:
Responsible for creating individual meal patterns to meet resident and participant needs/preferences.
Assists Dietitian in screening of residents or participants. May recommend diets and supplements.
Ensures meals and snacks are served per planned menus.
Coordinates resident's and participant's meal selection in accordance with personal preference and diet regimen. Follows up with new enrollees/admissions regarding nutrition plan of care/acceptance.
