Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse – Ophthalmic Theatres

The Ophthalmic Theatres at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital are recruiting for the position of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse.

As Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse you will work as part of the Ophthalmology Team providing care to patients undergoing a range of surgical eye procedures. You will be a member of the Ophthalmology Leadership Team and support the Clinical Lead in line managing the nursing team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing team, acting as a role model and promoting best practice.
• Supporting the Clinical Lead in the effective day‑to‑day management of the Ophthalmic Theatres, ensuring safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred ophthalmic care.
• Coordinating and delivering care for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic procedures in accordance with local and national guidelines.
