About the Role
As a Commis Cook at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, you will assist the Chef de Partie and kitchen brigade in preparing ingredients, executing dishes to MOHG standards and supporting service across outlets and events. This is an excellent role to develop culinary skills, gain exposure to high-volume banqueting and fine dining production, and grow within a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Know all recipes and preparation methods for your section so that you can prepare them easily and independently.
- Manage the section and kitchen assistants independently and with leadership.
- Manage order reception.
- Operate and care for kitchen equipment safely; maintain clean and organised workstations.
- Receive, rotate and store deliveries; assist with stock control and basic inventory tasks.
- Adhere strictly to HACCP, food safety and allergen procedures; report any food quality issues.
