Shift BMS Operator

Job Scope: Operates the Building Management System serving as the central nervous system for monitoring and controlling all data centre infrastructure. Continuously monitors BMS dashboards displaying real‑time status of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire, security, and access control systems. Responds promptly to system alarms, assessing severity, initiating appropriate response actions, and escalating to engineers when necessary. Adjusts control setpoints for temperature, humidity, pressure differentials, and equipment staging to maintain optimal data centre environmental conditions. Tracks equipment runtime hours, cycle counts, and performance trends to identify developing issues before failures occur. Generates regular status reports on system performance, alarm frequencies, and environmental conditions.
