Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
At least 6+ years of experience in data center network engineering, deployment, or operations.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VXLANs, and multicast.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems—comfortable with command-line operations, file systems, process management, system log analysis (journals, syslog), and package management.
Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell—ability to write, debug, and maintain automation scripts for network operations, configuration management, and data parsing.
Hands‑on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or equivalents.
Experience with fiber optics, structured cabling, and optical transport systems (DWDM/CWDM).
