Job Description:
The Data Center Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of data center facilities and IT infrastructure. This role involves monitoring system performance, managing hardware installations, handling incidents, and maintaining uptime in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Centre Operations & Monitoring
Monitor data centre infrastructure (servers, storage, network, power, and cooling systems).
Ensure high availability and performance of all IT systems.
Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance activities.
Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests promptly.
2. Incident & Problem Management
Troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
Escalate issues to appropriate teams/vendors when required.
