CT Technologist
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scans by the application of ionizing radiation to produce quality images as required under a variety of conditions along with assisting physicians as required in the selection of practical applications and technical factors.
Principal Responsibilities
- Produce quality CT scans and be able to anticipate when additional imaging would be beneficial.
- Good knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Know the capabilities of the computer/scanner.
- Able to identify pathology and provide radiologist with accurate measurements and density readings.
- Operate dry laser printer.
- Prepare CT films for radiologist to read.
- Responsible for obtaining outside previous or comparison exams.
- Familiar with pressure injector and doses.
- Familiar with contrast material and possible reactions.
