The incumbent serves as a Criminal Investigator responsible for providing and supporting protective security activities and specialized investigative assistance to DSS Special Agents on all related investigative matters. Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, and executes protective security operations for senior officials and designated protectees of the U.S. Department of State. Analyzes classified and sensitive information to identify and assess threats directed toward protected persons, facilities, and official events. Serves as the principal liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies to ensure coordination of protective operations.
