About the PositionWe are looking for two (2) temporary counsel to join the Family Responsibility Office Legal Services Branch (FRO LSB) in Toronto. Each position is a short‑term contract (first up to 6 months, second up to 12 months) with the possibility of extension.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‑quality, client‑focused litigation and legal advisory services related to enforcement of family support orders and domestic contracts.
Provide risk‑based legal advice and opinions, both written and oral, to operational branches on a wide variety of matters, often on an urgent basis.
Actively participate in branch committees supporting operational and strategic priorities, and equity and inclusion initiatives.
QualificationsMembership in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario (mandatory).
Demonstrated litigation and negotiation experience.
Ability to work to strict deadlines in a high‑volume litigation environment.
