Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator / Cost Planner to join their team. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience within the printing industry.
Duties include: Maintaining accuracy of times, rates, and costing of estimating programme. On receipt of quote request, plan a layout of how the job will be printed and finished to minimize the overall cost. Gathering quotations for any outwork and/or handwork. Liaising with factory manager on new and specific print requirements. Using the estimating programme, prepare a costing and quote for the customer. Managing the estimating programme: ensuring rates and paper prices on the system are up to date and that labour times are calculated accurately. Receive and process orders.
Costing: On completion of the job, check work ticket value to customer order value. Copy job information from master list to monthly sales schedule. Enter all material, outwork, and commission costs on...
