The Cost Engineer develops project budgets and cost estimates for all phases of a project in the oil/refinery/process industry. Responsible for controlling, forecasting and reporting project costs for Projects works. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate and detailed cost estimates (CAPEX and OPEX) for major projects and portfolio projects at all project stages — from feasibility, concept, and FEED through to execution and close-out.
Work with project teams, discipline engineers, procurement, and contractors to collect data, validate assumptions, and integrate technical and commercial inputs into estimates.
Implements cost management and reporting processes for project execution plan.
Responsible for setup of project WBS in the cost forecasting tool, with proper tracking through purchase orders.
