Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for building and maintaining the employee schedules for the supported departments, with the support of managers and/or charge nurses. Supports the daily staffing needs of the hospitals.  

Job Functions 

Scheduling                    

• Creates and implements schedules to provide qualified staff for designated inpatient and outpatient areas. 

• Creates schedules complying with criteria of hospital policies, contractual agreements, if applicable, employee educational, orientation needs, and hospital/unit needs. 

• Schedules are posted, meeting suggested staffing patterns and necessary skill mix for each designated unit.
