Consumer Studies Teacher / Head of Consumer Studies Department - Senior School
TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SENIOR SCHOOL TEAM AS A CONSUMER STUDIES TEACHER / HEAD OF CONSUMER STUDIES YOU WOULD:
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Senior School Consumer Studies (Grades 10 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John’s D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS, as well as the ability to conduct and assess Practical Assessment Tasks.
Have leadership experience as a Head of the Consumer Studies Department (preferable).
Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in Consumer Studies, with PGCE.
Have an excellent command of English (both written and verbal), with the ability to teach, assess, and communicate effectively in an English-medium environment.
Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
