Service: Ophthalmology Service

Contract: Permanent, Part time (0.8 FTE)

Salary: As per ASMS SECA

About the Role

This role provides care to patients with a focus on Medical Retinal Ophthalmology. Consultant ophthalmologist services are provided in both OPD clinic and theatre setting. There is a large component of teaching and supporting nurses and allied health staff. Supervision and training of RMOs is an important aspect of the role.

Specific Services Will Include

• Cataract Surgery and Medical Retinal clinic sessions.
• Participation in relevant service and clinical meetings related to the service.
• Participation in quality improvement activities, clinical audit activities and continuing medical education.
• Contribution to service and organisational initiatives in clinical practice.
