We are seeking a reliable and motivated kitchen team member to join the hot kitchen as a Commis I.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with mise en place, portioning and basic food preparation according to recipes and chef instructions.
• Perform basic cooking tasks on hot kitchen equipment e.g. frying, sauteing, grilling under supervision.
• Plate and finish dishes to the required standard and assist with garnishing and presentation.

Hygiene

• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and personal hygiene at all times.
• Follow correct food storage rotation FIFO and temperature‑control procedures.
• Clean and sanitise workstations, equipment and utensils after use and at end of service.

Stock

• Assist with receiving and checking deliveries, storing items correctly and labelling where required.
• Monitor basic ingredient levels and communicate reorder requirements.
