Job Description

Role Overview:

The Coating Advisor is responsible for overseeing the specification, application procedures and processes, quality control, and maintenance of protective coatings on fleet vessels. The role ensures that coatings meet the required standards for durability, corrosion resistance, energy efficiency and safety, as well as comply with industry specifications and regulations.

During dry dock projects, the Coating Advisor works closely with shipyards and shipyard contractors to ensure coatings are applied correctly with substrate surface preparation as per paint makers recommendations.

On fleet vessels, to standardize the paint application process and painting scheme to ensure preventive coatings are applied correctly and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the vessel.
