The CNC Engineer is responsible for determining the equipment to be used, the required tooling, gauges or fixtures, generating, adjusting, or validating machining programs, interpreting CMM analysis, and making the necessary adjustments to any of these elements to ensure the correct manufacturing of parts that meet specified dimensional tolerances. Design or approve gauge designs to validate critical part characteristics. Additionally, follow up with fixture and tooling suppliers to ensure on-time delivery under required conditions. When necessary, develop and validate external suppliers capable of performing machining processes. Ensure that processes are fully documented, safeguarded, and accessible to all involved parties.
