ROLE SUMMARY

The Heritage College Nursing Program provides a part‑time, three‑year RN competency‑based diploma program. Given that nursing is a practice‑based profession, we believe that clinical experience is a vital and integral component of the curriculum, providing students with hands‑on opportunities to practice their nursing skills under direct supervision of their clinical instructor. The clinical instructor supports student learning, liaises with assigned nurses in a clinical unit and collaborates with the Faculty Team Leader. The clinical instructor role is an essential and powerful component of nursing education.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend clinical instructor and student hospital orientation for all positions.
• Attend and assist students with skills lab when clinical groups are in a Lab environment or using the Simulation Lab.
