JOB DESCRIPTION
Assists patients, families, and significant others with their psychological, social, environmental, financial, and emotional problems by conducting the needed psychosocial assessments related to presenting problems/concerns, and providing the necessary interventions needed to enhance patient quality of living.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures involvement in the daily management of workload allocation within the specialist area, taking into account changing and competing demands, and making decisions about prioritization of caseloads.
- Oversees and supervises junior staff, ensuring their adherence to ongoing rules and policies as applied in the Section/Department/Facility.
- Manages frequent exposure to highly distressing and emotional circumstances, maintaining substantial mental effort through frequent and intense levels of concentration and attention.
