An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Research Nurse to join the EB Research Team within the award-winning St John’s Institute of Dermatology based at Guy’s Hospital. GSTT has sponsored research into epidermolysis bullosa (EB) for over 3 decades, in collaboration with the Genetic Skin Disease Group at King’s College London, including gene discovery and basic science research and clinical trials of translational therapies such as cell and gene therapy for EB and the ongoing natural history study of recessive dystrophic EB (RDEB).

This new role, together with a new consultant dermatologist research postholder, will build EB research infrastructure and capacity to conduct commercial trials within the EB, liaising with industry partners to deliver new EB clinical trials (whether as primary or participating site) and, as time allows, support the development of non-commercial studies including applications for funding of these.
