JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Clinical Dental Assistant/Administrative Associate 2 provides both chairside assistance and clerical support (patient reception) in the Pediatric Dentistry department. This position is primarily located at the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital but may rotate to the College of Dentistry. This position serves as the liaison between dental assistants and patient accounts coordinator to ensure coordination of academic and clinical activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 

Provides chairside assistance, such as oral evacuation, retraction, and instrument exchange, for providers; supplies providers with equipment, instruments, and materials for procedures.

Exposes, processes, and labels x-ray film including periapical, occlusal, and panoramic film.
