Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is looking for a Clinical Coder in the Bay of Plenty. This part‑time role (0.7FTE, 56hrs fortnightly, Monday‑Friday) offers subsidised onsite hospital gym, wellbeing programmes and discounted goods. The position provides experience working across a wide range of cases in a complex coding environment.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Coder, you will work collaboratively with the clinical coding team, applying ICD‑10‑AM 12thEdition coding standards and contributing to the Nation Clinical Coding Framework.

Qualifications

• HIMAA Certificate or ACE qualification
• Current ICD‑10‑AM 12thEdition coding experience
• Knowledge of case mix and diagnosis related groupers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
