Civil Engineer Senior Advisor

Location: Markham, Canada (possible relocation to downtown Toronto)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and calculations of nuclear-related structures and buildings subject to internal and external hazards.
• Anticipate problems and project needs related to civil engineering.
• Provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawings.
• Direct teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
• Perform structural analyses using FEM code.
• Participate actively in dynamic analysis of nuclear structures and components for hazards such as earthquake, gas explosion, tornado, plane crash, and high wave impact.
• Write technical specifications (design requirements) and review technical documents issued by contractors.
