Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the OWD, maintaining the integrity of the management information system and advising on audit management and staffing-related issues. Conducts studies, reviews and analyses, and develops key indicators for determining the significance of audit data being generated at the regional and/or field audit office (FAO) level. Develops the annual Agency-wide program objective document and planning guidance, ensuring the priorities of the Agency are appropriately addressed. Maintains awareness of issues of general interest and concern to external organizations ( e.g., Government Accountability Office (GAO), other DoD organizations, and Congress).
