ChampionX (now part of SLB) seeks a Chemist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves developing, optimizing, and applying production chemical solutions for oil and gas customers.
Responsibilities
Assist with Technical Support, Product Development and Selection.
Conduct laboratory testing to develop, select or evaluate product performance, secondary properties and compatibilities. Prepare technical reports on the completed lab work.
Support field-based projects, including troubleshooting chemical‑related issues, conducting product selection and evaluation, and executing field trials.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams regionally and globally on technical projects, roll‑out new developments and/or optimize internal processes.
Implement and follow the company’s safety policy (Goal Zero) and procedures. Update laboratory test procedures and safety‑related documents where necessary.
