Main duties of the job Act as a shift leader, coordinating care delivery within the ward or crisis service.
Provide high-quality, person-centered care to service users with complex mental health needs.
Undertake and oversee mental health assessments, care planning, and evaluations.
Lead on clinical decision-making during shifts, especially in crisis or high-risk situations.
Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff, students, and support workers.
Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure safe staffing during shifts.
Promote staff wellbeing and maintain a supportive team environment.
Contribute to training and development of staff.
