JOB SUMMARY

: The role of a Casual Educational Assistant is to work within an inclusive education model to support the independence and achievement of students with intensive needs. Opportunities are available in elementary and high school settings. While specific responsibilities vary by assignment, Casual Educational Assistants provide a range of supports including:

Personal care

Individual and/or small group supervision

Assistance with the implementation of behavioural intervention plans

Review and practice of specific skills for individual and/or small group instruction

 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Training beyond Grade 12 related to supporting children and youth with intensive needs

Commitment to the ideals and principles of Catholic education

Ability to work as part of a collaborative team

Strong communication skills

Successful related experience
