Job Description:

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist assists a surgeon before, during, and after surgery under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Open Heart cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker procedures, laser lead extractions, and standby for TVAR and mitral clips.
• Potentially provide lunch relief in Vascular, Robotics, General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery service lines.

Requirements:

• BLS certification.
• 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting.
• Ability to scrub assist in Open Heart cases.
