Locum Tenens Opportunity – Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Northern Iowa Community
A reputable and growing hospital-based cardiac surgery program in a Northern Iowa community is seeking a Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist to assist with ongoing coverage needs throughout 2025. This facility is a Trauma Level II center with an active surgical schedule and a supportive anesthesia team.

Mix of cardiac and general anesthesia – approximately 1 heart case/day (not every day), with 5–7 general cases/day6 anesthesiologists in group practicePredominantly solo cases; occasional supervision of CRNA studentsOn rare occasions, may need to oversee CRNAs at a nearby ASC if no cardiac cases are scheduledEMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC); some paper charting8 ORs in use concurre...
