• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
• Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools (planes, chisels, wood files)
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit and reinforce joints
